According to a new leak, the Galaxy S26 series will launch in February 2026, not January. Furthermore, details about the phone's color options and camera have also been revealed.

Preparing for the Galaxy Unpacked event in February

According to tipster Ice Universe, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. This event is said to be held in San Francisco, USA. 

This is the first time such clear information has been provided regarding the date and location of the 2026 Galaxy S launch. Samsung has previously held its last three Galaxy S launches in the same region.

The launch timeline will be different from the Galaxy S25

The Galaxy S25 series was launched in January 2025, but Samsung appears to be changing its strategy with the Galaxy S26. According to reports, the company is making major changes to AI features this time, which has led to the delay in the launch. This is why the Galaxy S26 series has been shifted to the end of the first quarter of 2026.

When will the Galaxy S26 Ultra hit the market?

Looking at Samsung's past five flagship launch events, phones typically go on sale 14 to 16 days after Unpacked. If launched on February 25th, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to go on sale around March 13th, 2026. 

This date falls on a Friday, which aligns with Samsung's usual sales strategy. However, the company could also push it back to March 6th.

What is the latest update regarding the price?

According to Korean media reports, Samsung will not increase the prices of the Galaxy S26 series. A report by Maeil Business states that all Galaxy S26 models with 256GB of storage will be priced the same as the S25 series. 

If this proves true, the Galaxy S26 could start at $799, the S26 Plus at $999, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra at $1,299. However, its India price will only be known after launch.

According to reports, Samsung is avoiding raising the price of its main flagships despite rising memory costs. The company has suffered losses on products like the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold, but doing so with the Galaxy S series is considered business risky. Therefore, Samsung may consider raising the prices of some A-series smartphones to balance the situation.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may be launched in new and premium color options this time around. According to reports, the company will offer the phone in Black Shadow, White Shadow, Galactic Blue, and UltraViolet. 

These shades will all be based on natural black, white, blue, and violet tones, but will feature distinctive shadows and depth effects. Samsung may also make some exclusive color variants available on its official website. The new colors are expected to make the Galaxy S26 Ultra look more distinctive and premium than before.
