Realme 16 Pro: Realme is launching its new smartphone, the Realme 16 Pro, in India on January 6, 2026. This phone is positioned slightly below the Pro+ variant, but is no less than a flagship in terms of features.
The company has confirmed that it will feature the same 200MP camera system as the more expensive model. It will also feature a larger 7000mAh battery, a high-refresh rate display, and a new Dimensity chipset.
200MP camera and advanced photography features
The Realme 16 Pro features a 200MP LumaColor camera, based on the Samsung HP5 sensor. This camera supports Super OIS and full-pixel auto zoom.
According to the company, the phone supports 1x, 2x, and 4x lossless zoom and has received color accuracy certification from TÜV Rheinland. It also features a HyperRAW algorithm, which claims to deliver improved dynamic range in low-light and group photos.
Portrait mode and AI-based tools
The phone features a five-focal-length portrait system similar to the Pro+ model. It offers different portrait options, ranging from 1x to 4x, making it easy to capture full-body and close-up shots.
Realme has also introduced a new Vibe Master Mode, which offers 21 preset portrait tones. Furthermore, AI Edit Genie lets users edit elements like backgrounds and hairstyles without compromising the natural look of the face.
Video Recording and Content Creation
The Realme 16 Pro also brings several new features for video lovers. The phone supports 4K HDR video recording at 1x and 2x zoom. It features subject tracking based on the MainTrack algorithm, which ensures more stable and focused videos. The AI Instant Clip feature offers automated video templates designed for travel, parties, and events.
Battery, Display, and Performance
The phone will have a large 7000mAh Titan Battery, which is designed for long-term use. It will also have features like Super Power Saving Mode and Bypass Charging, which help in heat control.
Talking about the display, the Realme 16 Pro will have a 1.5K AMOLED panel, which supports 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6500 nits.
For performance, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max chipset, whose AnTuTu score is said to be more than 9.7 lakh. The phone will come with Realme UI 7.0.
